Peter Folkman (Chairman)

Peter has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Ulive.  He is an experienced venture capitalist and holds a wide range of non-executive and consultancy appointments in both the public and private sectors, including interests in commercial, cultural and educational sectors.

David Brister

With a degree in genetics and zoology David joined 3i, ultimately leading the technology team in Cambridge.  David also has experience of working for a life science venture capital firm and recently he has held the role of Chief Business Officer of Evotec AG, a NASDAQ listed bio-technology company. 

Mark Hurley

Mark is a successful entrepreneur with strong financial, strategic management and leadership skills with significant experience of advising on academic enterprise and investment.  He has extensive experience and a proven track record of working with start-up and early stage companies through to exit. 

Professor John Caldwell

As well as being Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Liverpool, Professor Caldwell is also the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.  His role at the university involves being responsible for Strategic Partnerships and aligning the educational and research strategies of the Faculty of Medicine.  Professor Caldwell is also a member of other external committees and boards including venture capital and government advisory committees.

Professor Murray Dalziel

Professor Dalziel is Director of the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) and Professor of Management. Before joining ULMS, Professor Dalziel was Group Managing Director of Hay Group and was a member of the Hay Group Executive, and served in a variety of senior leadership roles in Europe and North America.  His current research interests focus on innovation strategies.
